Non-Contact Infrared Thermometer

thermometerWhen are children are sick, we feel bad for them. We don’t want to make them any more uncomfortable than they already are. I know how miserable it is to be sick and not wanting my body to be touched….and kids are the same way. They are sick and have a fever…they don’t want us bugging them to get their temperature taken.

I recently received a non-contact infrared thermometer to try out. The package contains the non-contact thermometer, 2-AAA batteries, instruction booklet, and a velvet bag to carry the thermometer around in. The batteries were simple to put in….there is a spot for them on the back of the thermometer. The thermometer fits perfectly in the carrying bag….then you can just carry it around in your purse or diaper bag if needed.

This thermometer gets a temperature really fast–1 second. To turn it on….just press the big around scan button. This button is also the button that you hold down to get your reading. The mode button….allows you to change what you are using the thermometer for. Your options are body, surface or room. I love that this thermometer isn’t just for your child’s body temperature. You can get a temperature of their bath water or even their food.  The second round button is to change the reading from Celsius to Fahrenheit. The third round button is for the memory. It will hold up to 32 readings!

I’m very pleased with my new non-contact thermometer. No more waking up sick kids or touching their sore bodies to get a reading.
