I can never pass up a Bible to review! What do I do with all of these Bibles? Well, if I know of someone with a Bible I gift one to them. If it’s for a younger child, I give it to Children’s direction at Church and she gives it to a child without one. If it’s for a teen my husband and I give to someone in our Youth Group. If it’s for someone older I give them to the Sunday School teachers and ask that they give it to someone. I have even kept some of them as gave them as gifts for birthdays and Christmas.
This particular Bible, Kids’ Devotional Bible, will be handed to the Children’s director tomorrow morning. She will use it has she feels fit. This may be for a child who doesn’t have one, or she may keep it in her classroom and use it during her lessons.
Complete with a year’s worth of devotions, the Kids’ Devotional Bible, NIrV will help children develop a habit they’ll want to keep. Engaging weekday devotions, fun weekend activities, interesting illustrations, and a dictionary make this a Bible they’ll want to read and apply to their lives. It includes the complete New International Reader’s Version (NIrV)—the stepping stone to the NIV—making it easier for young readers to read and understand. Features include: • Short weekday devotions that help young readers apply Bible lessons for a full year. • 52 weekend devotions that teach kids about God’s creation through fun activities like visiting the zoo and gazing at the stars. • “Got It” feature that encourages kids to find answers to Bible trivia themselves. • Book introductions that give helpful information about each book of the Bible. • A dictionary to look up words they want to know more about. • The complete NIrV text, which uses shorter sentences and easier words. Kids can read this Bible on their own!
I absolutely love this Bible. I think it is great for kids and tweens! It is hardcover with a nice design on the front. Inside you will find over 300 devotions, trivia questions, introductions to each book, activities, dictionary and NIrV Bible. There is so much jammed into this great Bible for kids.
I would highly recommend this Bible for all children and tweens. It’s a great Bible to use during Family Time devotional times.
